Mobile user population for US, India and China

China Mobile Adoption Rate

• According to Government statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China may be about to have more than 900 million mobile users this May.
• By the end of March of this year, the number of mobile phone users totalled 889 million.
• Last year, at the same period, the mobile user total was 776 million

India Mobile Adoption

• India is quickly catching up with China. Their mobile adoption rate is even faster than China.
• At the end of February, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, India had 791 million mobile phone users.

US Mobile Adoption

• According to the CTIA-The Wireless Association, an international nonprofit membership organization that represents the wireless communications industry, the US currently has 303 million mobile phone users.
