Yahoo just released a web development tool called YSlow, which allows developers to check web page performance using the Chrome browser. YSlow is already a top Firefox add-on and it's popularity is just growing as the tool extends to a new browser.

The YSlow Chrome version features:

  • Same user experience as the Firefox version
  • Can run multiple instances of  YSlow
  • Ability to detect post onload components (includes pages that prevent themselves from being loaded such as an iframe
  • Different rule sets for different types of websites (from blogs to traditional)
  • Domain only listings for CDN offenders rule
