The National Venture Capital Association is looking at the hard, economic landscape and has distributed some recommendations to help wade us through. The proposals, entitled "Four Pillar Plan Balances Public Policy Proposals with Market Recommendations for the Venture Capital Industry and Capital Markets Ecosystem" were released in Boston at the NVCA's yearly meeting. The target audience for the proposals were the: venture capital industry, investment banking, accounting professions, law firms, stock exchanges, and the government--in hoping that such audiences will focus on restoring a dynamic IPO market as the economy starts to upwards. Note: only 6 companies went public in 2008.
