The study, 2014 Marketing Trends Survey, listed the top priorities for email marketers in 2014 as well. Subscriber engagement is one such priority that has emerged as a top focus for marketing this year. About 44% have identified subscriber engagement as 1 of their top 3 priorities for the year ahead.
Segmentation improvements and improved targeted also take top positions in the priority list for marketers. All three of these priorities have beat out the task of growing an organization's opt-in list.
The survey reflects the outlooks of 387 business leaders as they focus on their planned marketing budgets, priorities and challenges for 2014. The survey focused on email marketing trends that will impact the coming year.
