According to research from Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 47% of Americans living in households with annual income of $75,000 or more now own tablets or iPads.
Within the household income bracket of $50,000-$74,999, that figure dropped sharply to 32%. And again the figure drops with households of $30,000-$49,999 to 27%. In households with an income of less than $30,000, the percentage of tablet owners are about 10%.
Households with an income (HHI) of $100,000 or more are 20% of the tablet market, according to Online Publishers Association (OPA).
Now, about one quarter of all Americans own a tablet, according to the Pew report.
