Everyone in the SEO and digital marketing industry seem to be making bets on mobile in 2013. Mobile is more than the latest buzzword or arbitrary fad. From the growing significance of mobile in eCommerce (with both phones and tablets) to the growth of mobile for consumer browsing habits, it is clear that mobile is a vital part of web strategy for business today.
RKG’s latest quarterly report for Q4 of 2012, illustrate the increasing rise of mobile’s share of organic and direct traffic, which increased to almost 20% in Q4 2012.
The RKG study reveals that mobile search on Google clobbered Yahoo and Bing in Q4 2012. Considering estimated iOS 6 visits, the search report shows that 27% of Google searches were mobile-driven, in-comparison to just 19% for Yahoo and only 6% for Bing.
According to the RKG report, iOS devices stole the majority of mobile’s search and direct traffic share in Q4 2012.
