Ironpaper is happy to announce the launch of the next generation website for New York Genealogical & Biographical Society: newyorkfamilyhistory.org.
Some background on the NYG&B:
The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society was founded in 1869. As a non-profit institution, their purpose is to collect and make available information on genealogy, biography and history, particularly as it relates to the people of New York. To carry out their purpose, they publish periodicals and books, conduct educational programs and provide other services.
One of the goals of the new website was to strengthen relationships with their existing genealogy users, attract the next generation genealogist and begin to attract general public that are looking for a richer experience with genealogy and family history. These goals will help helped by better promoting the eLibrary, Member services, access to Events and Community of NYG&B and it's online web portal.
