LinkedIn just launched a "follow company" button that can be installed in a company's website or marketing materials. Very much akin to the Facebook Like button, this new "follow company" button will be accompanied by brand status updates that will be immediately fed into a user’s LinkedIn homepage.
This is part of an effort from LinkedIn to provide a more dynamic and engaging network for companies to market themselves. Companies will engage with users from their Company Page on LinkedIn as well as through status updates. LinkedIn currently has over 2 million companies in its social network.
