LG went on record for saying that the recent launch of Windows Phone 7 did not impress. Microsoft was partnering closely with LG for the launch of the new Windows mobile OS.
For one, visibility with consumers is less than expected. According to a report by pocket-lint.com, the lack of visibility or interest may be that the phone is a little boring when compared to Android or the iPhone. Even though the launch wasn't a hit, it doesn't mean that LG will stop partnering with Microsoft for mobile devices. Many companies may be concerned about throwing all their eggs in the Android basket. Choice may be one of the best marketing differentiators between mobile providers in the coming future.
