iPhone now gets a shopping app like Android

Google has launched a shopping app similar to the one already in place on it's Android mobile OS. The app allows users to shop for products (or search for product information) using the device built-in camera or by voice or text entry. The app adds another dimension to the mobile shopping experience by allowing the products to be shared on social media websites like Facebook and Twitter.

The Shopper app can be very useful for shoppers looking to confirm whether a product is the right one while the shopping is browsing in-store.  It can also be a great research tool. Let's say your friend has a book that you want, you can quickly dive into a price comparison  or find local inventories in real world stores.

The Google Shopper app is intended to replace the former Google Goggles, which is more of a lab tool.
