Facebook wants web developers to write better sentences, and they have just improved the language capabilities of Open Graph to allow it.
The goal is simple. Facebook understands that in order for users to share better stories, sometimes developers need to customize the syntax of the Open Graph in order to build Facebook web applications that allow for better stories. To help web developers, Facebook launched flexible sentences, a new capability within Open Graph that gives more control over the construction of sentence structure within apps.
In the above example, the app on the right uses Flexible Sentences to provide more context into Tom's actions. As Facebook web designers construct applications, they can build better greater engagement with users and help drive action through interactive story-telling.
This new Facebook API developer expansion includes updates to the configuration tool--allowing developers and designers to edit tenses for their applications. The functionality is only available for custom actions. It will not work with built-in actions.
