Google is expanding their advertising product offering more directly into the eCommerce space with new shopping ads. This new Adwords functionality was built to reach online shoppers as they research and compare products.
The ads will list features and prices with product images right on a search results page. The ads will connect directly with eCommerce websites providing a clear call-to-action from an ad.
This side-by-side comparison built into the "ad" environment of Google's search apparatus comes from feedback received by merchant partners. Google has been working to simplify the eCommerce ads set-up.
Google has also set-up an incentive to encourage eCommerce providers to take part in the advertising program. The set-up process also offers a step-by-step guide to help with the transition into using this eCommerce-based advertising system.
