Embedded Posts were introduced in July to allow publishers to embed any public post within Facebook to their blog or website.  Now, the Embedded Posts feature is available to all Facebook users and developers.

During the pilot period with Embedded Posts, the Facebook team took feedback, which they have integrated with the tool for it's public launch as well. They continue to collect feedback from publishers and from the Facebook News, Media & Publishing group to improve Embedded Posts.

The Embedded Posts capability is very easy to use, and certainly it would make a great tactic for building visibility to an organization's Facebook business page, as well as highlighting important social media content across properties.

A few noteworthy sub-features include

  • In-line video playback
  • Directly access the embed code from an embedded post
  • Improved mobile experience
  • a new version of the Facebook plugin for WordPress websites that supports Embedded Posts.
