"Advance fee" scams have found a new method of expression: The New York Times and other sites that contain "Email This" technology. The scammers use the service as a method to send their solicitation messages. There was another malicious purpose of the broadscale recent scam attack, produced by 419 scammers, to expunge the pure IP reputation of the NY TImes email servers.
