Clearwire and its partner Sprint Nextel launched their 4G network in Houston. Clearwire is backed with the support of Sprint, cable giants Comcast and Time Warner Cable, Intel and Google.
Houston will be the 28th city to get the 4G WiMax service. Texas has been the top recipient for the 4G network, but other key cities such as Las Vegas, Baltimore and Atlanta have also launched the 4G network. New York, Boston, and Washington D.C are the planned to receive the 4G network later this year.
