Blackberry service has been restored for 70 million customers worldwide following three agonizing days of outages. Research in Motion is still trying to determine the exact cause of the outage and better understand how the event propagated.
This outage will be quite troubling still for the smart phone company. RIM has service level agreements for many business customers and BlackBerry Enterprise Server customer who were affected by the outages. The company made a point to emphasize that prior to the recent problems, the company has gone 18 months with a 99.97% uptime on its global network.
